2021 | The Beginning
31 December 2021
The idea for Giftreeng began when our founder, Aman Birendra Jaiswal, frequently gifted plants to people close to him — sparking early interest in plant-based gifting.
16 January 2022
Giftreeng was officially launched as a plant gifting website, focused on delivering plants as meaningful, green gifts.
February 2022
While personally handling deliveries as a solo founder, Aman repeatedly heard a consistent concern from customers:
“We don’t want to keep plants because they will die.”
This feedback became the core insight that reshaped the company’s direction.
2022 | The Idea Evolves
February 2022
The concept of a smart pot was born — a solution designed to help plants survive and thrive by guiding users in real time.
20 February 2022
The first basic blueprint of what would later become GIA (Giftreeng Intelligent Assistant) was drafted.
1 June 2022
Kanchan Kanti Pal joined Giftreeng as CTO, bringing deep expertise in IoT and embedded systems.
September 2022
The foundational concept of GIA was finalized after early technical exploration and validation.
2022–2023 | Building GIA
17 October 2022
The first working GIA prototype was created.
January – March 2023
Multiple iterations followed, including: Introduction of display interfaces, Transition from Atmega32 to ESP32 architecture, Adoption of LCD displays, Design refinements for form and aesthetics.
24 March 2023
Emotions and expressive interactions were added to GIA’s interface, introducing its signature emotional UX.
April 2023
The first in-house PCB design was completed and integrated into a working GIA unit.
2023 | From Prototype to Product
June
GIA’s size, structure, and usability were finalized after multiple design enlargements and refinements.
8 July 2023
Giftreeng established its first physical office. The pre-final (7th) GIA prototype was completed.
29 July 2023
Giftreeng appeared for Shark Tank India Season 3 auditions, completing all audition rounds.
15 September 2023
The 12th GIA prototype was completed incorporating:
Dual-PCB architecture, Improved sensors, Refined interaction design.
2024 | Market Launch
1 October 2024
GIA Smart Pot was officially launched in the market.
October 2024
200 units sold in the first 15 days
₹4.75 lakh revenue generated
Zero reported plant deaths in early customers
National media coverage followed.
2025 | Pause & Resilience
31 March 2025
Operations were temporarily halted due to funding constraints, ensuring product quality and long-term focus were preserved.
28 June 2025
Giftreeng received two Letters of Intent worth ₹5.40 crore, validating strong demand and institutional interest.
24 July 2025
A major personal setback occurred when Aman met with a severe accident, surviving a near-coma situation. Recovery required extended medical care, leading to a pause in further proceedings on the signed LOIs.
2026 | The Next Chapter
16 January 2026
Giftreeng expanded beyond plant care with the launch of VizVolt Smart Inverter, marking its entry into smart energy and home infrastructure as part of a broader smart living ecosystem.
Moving Forward
Giftreeng’s journey has never been linear.
What began as plant gifting has evolved into a mission to build intelligent, reliable, and human-centric hardware for everyday living — and the journey continues.
